A Celebration of Bordeaux by the Chao Phraya River

Alain Ducasse Dining Room

We know how popular the OMGD event at Blue by Alain Ducasse would be, but exactly how popular it would turn out to be proved a pleasant surprise. Members clamored for seats at Blue’s riverside tables, all for a close-up look (and taste, of course) at a menu created specifically for the Chaine des Rotisseurs bailliage of Bangkok-Rattanakosin by talented executive chef Wilfrid Hocquet. The guest of honor? The wines of Bordeaux.

An exhilarating procession of courses followed, led by many, many glasses of Champagne Corbon Blanc de BLancs Grand Cru Brut 2012, selected by Bailli and acting Echanson Molchaya Techapaibul. This was followed by brown crab paired with Chateau Rieussec Blanc 2021, truffled Bresse chicken with Chateau Branc Cantenac Blanc 2019, Japanese sea bream with girolls and Chateau Beausejour Duffau Lagarosse 2007, and roasted lamb saddle with a lovely Chateau Pichon Lalande Comtesse 2011. Cheese and Alain Ducasse’s own chocolate rounded out the meal alongside glasses of Chateau Guiraud 2003.
